The study of physical therapy or exercise (use of physical agents such as exercise, massage, light, heat, electricity, ultraviolet rays, etc.) is known as physiotherapy. Physiotherapy is an emerging field in the health service sector. Many people in developing countries have been giving emphasis on Physiotherapy in the treatment and rehabilitation of various health conditions. Physiotherapy is also known as Physical therapy (PT). It is one of the medical professions provided by physical therapists who promote, maintain, or restore health through physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, patient education, physical intervention, rehabilitation, disease prevention, and health promotion. Physical therapists are known as physiotherapists in many countries.

Eligibility

  • SLC Pass or SEE with minimum GPA 2.0 and C grade in Compulsory Mathematics, English & Science.
  • TSLC in Physiotherapy with minimum 67%.
  • Should pass entrance examination as administered by CTEVT.

Selection Criteria

Successful Candidate in merit list of written entrance examination conducted by CTEVT.

Scholarship

Scholarships are available as per the criteria of CTEVT.

What after completion?

  • Registration in Nepal health professional council (NHPC) as a physiotherapy assistant.
  • The graduates will be eligible for the position equivalent to Non-gazette 1st class/Level 5 (technical) as prescribed by the Public
  • Service Commission of Nepal and other related agencies.
  • Independent categories of related jobs in different NGOs, INGOs, and GOs.
  • Job opportunities in public and private hospitals.
  • Job opportunities in the college where the physiotherapy program is run, as a physiotherapy assistant.
  • Private practice in clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes
